A farewell post!
Here's another wonderful project from Debby - our October Featured Stamper!
I just wanted to pop in and share one last project with you before my time as October’s featured stamper is over☹. I can’t take credit for this idea as I read about it over on the PTI forum (http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/).
When the latest Christmas stamps were being sneak peeked, Ted (http://www.happilyevercrafter.com/) suggested that a jar filled with marshmellows would make great snowman poo. Now my children are of the age that toilet humour is right up their street! So here you go – I used a glassine bag and Tiny Treats Christmas to create this little treats containing tiny marshmellows.
I have really enjoyed my time as October’s featured stamper and I wanted to thank Kate, Aimes and Caryn for being just so fabulous! Thanks girls.

Thank You
Whilst I've got a spare moment, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for the really sweet comments/emails about my dad. For those of you who don't know, my dad was rushed into hospital last week and will be staying there for a while until we can get him on to the road to recovery.
This means that inky time is very restricted for me, but boy, am I glad I now have not one, but two fabulous PTI partners in crime to cover for me now! (No pressure though, ladies *wink*)
So it's not a new creation I've got today, but it's one I've not shared here on the PTI blog and I feel it suits the occasion:Thank you to all of you for your support - it means so much! Keep on sending those positive vibes if you've got 'em!
Sorry I don't have a new card for our fab CASE challenge; I've actually CASEd myself here after taking inspiration from this card of mine. If only I was on the PTI DT myself then I could use this as my example for our challenge LOL! A girl can always dream, right?! *sigh*

CASE Challenge!
I decided to make a baby boy card for a friend who recently had her second bundle of joy - I CASEd this card made my Nichole Heady:
I kept a few elements the same - the plaid teddy and central panel - but changed several too:
Unfortunately Aimes can't join us today as she has family commitments - we're all sending her lots of love and big hugs.
So now it's time to have over to Caryn:
"Hey everyone. Just wanted to start by saying say how totally honoured and priveledged I feel to have been asked to join my MOST favourite blog of ALL - A Passion for Papertrey. I am in impressive company with my gorgeous girls Kate and Aimes and am so looking forward to what lies ahead with this fabulous challenge blog. It is so exciting to be able share my own love of these amazing products and also enjoy all that you lovely peeps create along the way too.
Right, onto this fortnight's challenege. For my "CASED Card" sample I chose to take my inspiration from one of Nichole Heady's cards showcased in the September release:
It uses the "must-have" (IMHO) Wreath For All Seasons set and one of the background elements from Background Basics: Christmas. The twiggy wreath from the set is stamped in Dark Chocolate and the berries overstamped in Pure Poppy (my current favourite colour) on Vintage Cream card mounted onto Dark Chocolate card.
The sentiment (from Wreath for All Seasons) is stamped in Pure Poppy and I have also added just a smattering of stickles to the occassion - well, it is Christmas! There's a wee bit of Pure Poppy twill added to ground the focal point and that's it. A simple card that I was able to do in about 10 minutes so easy to mass produce too - just what all we crafters need in the run up to the festive season.
Seasons Greetings!"
And here is our Featured Stamper for October, Debby:
"When I sat down to think about which of the fabulous design team members to case I was also thinking about my crafty to do list. On that list was to make lots of tags for Halloween treat bags and it was then that I remembered these (http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/gallery2.php?g2_itemId=102308) lovely tags by Michelle Wooderson of Mish Mash (www.michellewooderson.blogspot.com).
I’ve been meaning to make some tags like these forever! I used the Halloween tags 2009 set that I used on my Halloween card for the autumn card challenge and set to work. Here is the result. Boy, tags are hard to photograph! I used Mish’s idea of setting the tags on twine to try and get a better photo.
There is an individual pumpkin image in the stamp set which I used, but the witches hat and spider were part of a circle image and for those I created a mask to get just the part of the stamp I wanted. Now I love these tags and some of them may get tied straight round the neck of a treat bag, but I wanted to take things one step further and make a few treat toppers for some bags to take to my nieces I will be seeing soon. So I cut toppers out of some bitty box basics and bitty dots basics papers and mounted the tags using dimensionals. I filled a clear bag with some cute Halloween chocolates and put everything together. They look so cute in real life. Together with the card from the last challenge they look like this.
I so enjoyed putting these tags and treat toppers together and it was great to have Mish’s tags to case. There is such a wealth of ideas in the design team blogs and the PTI gallery – grab an idea that takes your fancy and run with it! Now I just need to make another 50 of these tags!"
So are you ready to get CASEing for a chance to win this stamp set?!!!

Make and Take Day!
Today is the day! The day of our Make and Take Event! Gosh I can't quite believe it's here already - where does the time go?!
So as well as a good chatter, a good cuppa and a nibble to eat (and maybe a treat or two in store for our guests) I'll let you in on what else is in store for our crafty peeps!
We'll be making a total of three projects; two cards and a 3d project. Wanna see exactly what we'll be making today? Oh go on then:
This first card has been designed by Kate (can't you just tell with the use of Hawaiian Shores on it?! LOL!) I adore the way she's used the buttons as headlights - such a sweet feature!
The second card was designed by myself - I think you could probably tell that from the use of green (Simply Chartreuse is my new Black BTW!) and that fabulous On My Couch set *grin*
And last, but by no means least, we'll be making this treat box featuring yet another fave stamp set of ours, Star Prints! Now you don't think we'd let people return home with an empty treat box, would you? Nope, I'm pretty sure there will be a treat in store to sweeten that box up even more *wink*
So Kate and I have been prepping like mad and got to meet yesterday to prep some more (along with Caryn - an extra pair of hands is always welcome!) though I fear we spent most of yesterday having a giggle and catching up more than prepping as we've still got quite a bit to do in the few hours we've got left - eek! But it's been a fabulous weekend so far....let's hope it continues!
OK - gotta dash because we've still got lots to do and little time - I'll edit this post with the full deets of the projects when I find a spare moment!
So excited!

Now don't go thinking that this card reveals any secrets about the make and take, so don't go looking for them! In fact this card is way off the mark from what we'll be making or using.....
....or is it?! Tee Hee!
Can't wait to see you all on Sunday!

Awesomely Autumnal
For this challenge we want you to be inspired by the season of Autumn. I myself will confess that autumn is my favourite time of the year - I adore the colours, wrapping up for walks in the bright sunshine, collecting conkers and of course, the yummy comfort food too!
But don't restrict yourself to these things only - you can use holidays such as Halloween for your autumnal inspiration or anything else you can think of!
For my example I didn't find inspiration from the wet and windy autumn that's occurring outside my window right now, that's NOT inspiring me at all! I instead, focused on the colours of autumn and the beautiful colours of autumnal leaves:

And as our featured stamper for October , here's Debby's take on the challenge with not one, but two inspirational cards!
"Well autumn is definitely here. The days are darker, the weather grey ........ but leaves are crisp and crunchy and colours are rich and bright. I have two autumn themed cards today and first up is a Halloween one. Where I live Halloween is a big deal; the houses are decorated, everyone dresses up, all the neighbours participate and we have lots of visitors from dusk until late. It's a lovely time of year with a great party atmosphere. This year I wanted to send a few Halloween greetings to my friends and neighbours. I used Halloween tags on this card. I wanted to keep the card bright and cheerful, so went with plenty of colour with just a touch of black to make the colours pop.
Here's a close up where you can see a bit better the results of the swiss dot embossing folder on the white layer.
Next up is an autumn card of a different theme. As anyone knows who drops by my blog (www.limedoodle.blogspot.com) regularly - I do looove leaves! I cut out some leaves from possibly my favourite set - Turning a New Leaf and glittered them until they sparkled so beautifully. It reminds me of the frosts that we are just starting to get in the mornings.
I cut some harvest gold felt with a mat stack 1 die then added the leaves and sentiment with lots of dimensionals before finishing off with an aqua mist bow. Boy, the felt and layers add a lovely depth to the card.
I hope you enjoy this challenge as much as I have and make the most of all autumn has to offer before our attention is all too quickly diverted to the next big holiday on the calendar."
