I'm flying by (or should that be sliding along with today's snow and ice!) to share a card with ya:
This card could pretty much qualify for our current challenge with it's red and white combo. It's also a pretty fitting card to share on here today considering the snow and ice we've had here in the heights of the Peak District! I love snow, but I sure don't love driving in it!
Stay safe and warm wherever you are and while you're at it, why not join in this challenge too? :)
Aimes x
Card Deets {Happy Holidays} Stamps: Holiday Tree, Polka Dot Basics II, Holiday Signature Greetings (Papertrey Ink) Ink: London Fog, Tuxedo Black (Memento) Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink) Accessories: Gems (Craft Supply)/Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers)
So if you didn't guess from my hint in the last post, this fortnight we wanna see you craft with Christmas in mind (or any other type of holiday you have in mind for the season, e.g Hanukkah) Let's face it, Christmas is only 39 days away and so it's time to start whippin' out the cards!
I started well this year; creating a couple of Christmas cards last month, but I'll confess that I've hit a bit of a dry spell right now....but after creating a few different cards, I now know that my final design will feature the following elements:
Firstly, it has to be CAS! Not only to satisfy my CAS lovin' side, but also for the convenience of mass production: Card Deets {Merry Christmas} Stamps: Holiday Tree (Papertrey Ink) Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento) Cardstock: Fine Linen (Papertrey Ink) Accessories: Cuttlebug (Provocraft)/Linen and Canvas Impression Plate, Pure Poppy Buttons (Papertrey Ink)/Promarkers/Gem (Craft Supply)
It has to have a good ol' traditional colour combo. If red and green don't sum up Christmas, I've no idea what colours do!
Card Deets {Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year} Stamps: Holiday Signature Greetings (Papertrey Ink)/Musical Background (Kaisercraft) Ink: Versamark/Tuxedo Black (Memento) Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, Hunter's Green (Papertrey Ink) Accessories: Pure Poppy Saddle-Stitch Ribbon (Papertrey Ink)/Gems (Zva)/Promarker (to colour gem!)
...and finally, it has to be a design that uses my existing stash (no new crafty Christmas goodies for this gal this year - not that I've been a bad girl of course, just that my stampy budget had to be spend on a new tyre the other week!)
Those baubles have been cut from Mat Stack 2! When I saw the shape of it, I immediately thought of a bauble. The subtle one in the background is created by using the negative shape of the die-cut as a stencil with my chalks.
Over to Caryn: I am super-in-love with this challenge - there is no other time of the year I love more than Christmas so making this card was no challenge for me at all!! I am looking forward to your entries more than any other time too - can't wait to see your festive creations!
For our challenge I have cracked open and lavished some inky attention on my new Holiday Lights set as well as the Stylish Sentiments: Holidays set. I just adore both of them – think they’re both going to feature heavily in this years cards! I LOVE Pure Poppy and for Christmas there just is NO OTHER COLOUR!! I have paired it this time with Hawaiian Shores and Raspberry Fizz – yum!
Here's Kate: "Thank goodness for this challenge to get me kick-started into making some Christmas cards! I have to say it made me want to play with all my Christmas sets but for this card I decided on my Wreath for All Seasons set for a good old CAS card!"
Card Recipe: Stamps: Wreath for All Seasons/Think Big Favourites 8 Card: Stamper's Select White/Pure Poppy Ink: Pure Poppy/Ripe Avocado/Basic Black Other: Scallop Die/Ripe Avocado Twill

Firstly - sorry this is appearing a bit late - I've been suffering a wee bit with the lurgy over the last few days and thought we still had another week to run on our last challenge!! Oops! Luckily I was organised enough to have my card made so without further ado, here we are with our new challenge Pretty Pearls. As usual you can interpret this as you wish but we want to see you using pearls in some way on your creation (which must incorporate at least one Papertrey Ink product).
I am still in Christmas card-making mode at the moment so my card is another festive one! I used my beloved Peaceful Poinsettia set along with Big and Bold Holiday Wishes. The image and sentiment have been stamped in Versamark and then embossed in white filligree powder. I am loving this colour combo of Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist and Kraft - loads of my cards this year have used it! Caryn x
Recipe: Stamps: Peaceful Poinsettia/Big and Bold Holiday Wishes Ink: Versamark Card: Kraft/ Aqua Mist/Pure Poppy/Spring Moss Other: White Filligree embossong powder/Martha Stewart Edge punch/adhesive pearls and gem/Nestabilities: Lacy Circles and Standard Circles
Here's Kate: "My mum asked me to make some cards for her this Christmas and for two of the three designs I used the Wreath for All Seasons set, I can see this becoming one of my most-used PTI sets! The gaps in the wreath design just calls out for some pearly berries!"
Over to Aimes "OK. So I am in the middle of a huge panic. Breathe, Aimes. Breathe! It's only 11 days until Christmas and I'm still making Christmas cards! *Argh!* Still, I like to tell myself it's because I'm at my 'most creative' when I'm under more pressure - ha!
So here is my 'pearly' creation:
I've kinda cheated - hope you'll forgive me. I know you've seen this card layout before (for the last challenge) and I'm using it again for my example for this challenge. I think the change of colours and the pearly touches certainly make it different from my other two....well it's more girly anyways!"
Card Deets {We Wish you a Merry Christmas} Stamps: Holiday Signature Greetings, Fancy Flourishes (Papertrey Ink) Ink: Fresh Snow (Papertrey Ink) Cardstock: Spring Rain, Sweet Blush, White Shimmer Cardstock (Papertrey Ink) Accessories: Cuttlebug, Snowflake Die (Provocraft)/Nestabilities/Fresh Snow Satin Ribbon and Spring Rain Button (Papertrey Ink)/Pearls (Hero Arts)/'Chompy' (Corner Chomper!)
As our featured stamper for December, here's Aga's fabulous take on the challenge:
“I've always been a fan of red berries on Christmas cards. There's something so pretty about them. To create my card I used the leaves from the Blooming Button Bits set with white embossing powder and red pearls. Don't they look cute together? I also added a baker's twine, printed sentiment and a piece of red punched border.”

So here's what you can win - A Fillable Frames #6 stamp set. We can't wait to see what you come up with! Caryn, Kate, Aimes and Aga xxxx
OK Peeps! Ready for a new challenge?! Well we know how busy you all are around this time of year, so we've decided to keep this fortnight's challenge super simple. All we wanna see is a creation with a holiday/Christmas theme. That's right, if you haven't already, it's probably best you get a move on and create something for the holidays (and that includes any other religious celebrations such as Hanukkah too!) and we're hoping this challenge with give some of us, (me!) a nudge in the right direction *wink*!
Now don't restrict yourself to cards; anything goes for this challenge! Though I myself really needed to get a move on and actually make some cards before I can even begin to think of making anything else!
I like to keep things Clean and Simple (CAS) when it comes to Christmas cards. Not only is it my fave kinda style - it's fab for the mad mass production. I just change the colours every so often to keep my mind from going numb from repetition :D
So here's the first frosty li'l number:
Card Deets {We Wish you a Merry Christmas} Stamps: Holiday Signature Greetings, Fancy Flourishes (Papertrey Ink) Ink: London Fog (Memento)/Versamark Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, Spring Rain, White Shimmer Cardstock (Papertrey Ink) Accessories: Cuttlebug, Snowflake Die (Provocraft)/Nestabilities/Lavender Moon Grosgrain Ribbon (Papertrey Ink)/Shimmer Chalks/Bling (Zva)/'Chompy' (Corner Chomper!)
And here's one that uses a more traditional Christmas colour combo:
See what a difference simply changing the colours can make?! Now you can't tell on the pics, but there's lots of subtle shimmer going off, especially on that first card. Using PTI's Shimmer Cardstock adds that extra bit of Christmas magic IMHO, and Glimmer Mists are fab for added extra shimmer if you haven't got fancy cardstock to start with!"
Over to Caryn: "I have gone for a clean and simple approach with this design - so I can easily mass-produce it!! The Tiny Treats: Christmas set means I can do loads of different versions of this without them all needing to be identical. I still have mountains of cards to do so anything that can reduce my workload is good in my book, lol. I adore using Kraft card at the moment and paired with one of my all-time favourite colour combos - Aqua Mist and Pure Poppy, I am pretty happy with the look. I added a teeny bit of my newest obsession, Pure Poppy baker's twine and an Aqua Mist button to add a wee bit of extra interest and to ground the focal image."
Here's Kate:
"Like Caryn I inked up my new Tiny Treats Christmas set for my sample - this has to be one of the most adorable sets ever! I used one of my favourite Christmas colour combos - red, white and kraft - a perfect match for those cute candy canes!"
"Christmas has arrived early in the North East of England with lots and lots AND LOTS of SNOW! After being a bit 'mojoless', the snow has certainly got me in the Christmas spirit! It's a good job as planning, as always, hasn't gone to plan when it comes to my Christmas cards! As always I still have tons to make! I needed some quick & easy cards that didn't use too much of my precious PTI supplies and this is what I came up with.
These little cuties are only 7 cm X 10.5 cm which means you can get 4 out of one sheet of card stock! I used some precious Pure Poppy felt on these 4 but when I go full pelt to cranking these out I think I will just use Pure Poppy card stock!
It's hard to see in the photo's but I used some PTI Shimmer card stock & coloured the images with Copic Spica pens to add some sparkle. Some Pure Poppy Bakers Twine and some snowflakes finished them off!
I hope I have inspired you to create some mini Christmas cards!"
Need more tempting to get crafting for Christmas? Well one randomly selected peep will win this super sweet stamp set, fly away!

We can't wait to see you get in the Christmas spirit too! Aimes, Caryn, Kate & Bev xxxx This collection has been deleted by its author
OK so we know that it's a busy time for everyone at the mo, so we've tried to make this challenge one that's so easy to play along with that you'll probably do it without realising it LOL!!
For this challenge we want to see creations featuring a Christmas tree! For those of you who attended the most amazing weekend ever (Steph's PTI Make and Take), this challenge is one you've already got a card for so feel free to enter it!
Here's my take on the challenge featuring my fave lil' tree of the moment:
Hi everyone and welcome to another challenge, it seems to have come around so quickly!
This time it's all about the bling, baby! To join the challenge we want to see some bling on your cards - it can be any type of bling - gems, gliiter - so long as it sparkles, anything goes!!
The bling on my samples is quite subtle (so subtle I'm not sure you can even really notice it from the pictures lol!) - there are 3 rhinestones in the centre of the poinsietta, and the Flourishes are stamped in Versamark Dazzle Champagne ink which has a fabulous soft shimmer:
Recipe: Stamps - Peaceful Poinsietta/fancy Flourishes/Signature Christmas Card - Stamper's Select White/Enchanted Evening/Brushed Silver Ink - Versamark Dazzle/Versamagic - Night Sky/Versafine - Black Other - Rhinestones/silver ribbon
And a close up:
Over to Aimes... "Here's my attempt to bling up a Christmas Tree! Basically smothered it in Stickles and added some jewels coloured with my promarkers - BLINGIN!"
Recipe:
Stamps - Holiday Tree/Signature Christmas/Around and About Sentiments
Just in time to enter Dawn's current color challenge! (Cutting it fine again!)
I loved the look of this combo but struggled a bit putting it together.. anyway here's how my card turned out in the end:
Recipe: (Papertrey unlesss otherwise stated)
Stamps - Vintage Labels/Rustic Snowflakes/Signature Christmas Ink - Pure Poppy/Vintage Cream/Dark Chocolate Card - Kraft/Vintage Cream/Aqua Mist/Dark Chocolate Other - Aqua Mist ribbon/brown brads/Fiskars border punch/Labels One die/Cuttlebug embossing folder/adhesive pearls
Can you believe the Papertrey October sneak peeks have started already?! Some more Christmas sets by the look of it... have I got room for any more?! (Silly question lol!)
Have a good week and thanks as always for visiting!
